Agriculture Mesopotamia

Why might agriculture have emerged at different times in different places?
This is in a very early time period. Around the time of Mesopotamia and also when there was an Upper and Lower Egypt.. possibly around the time of 575 BC
Different crop species native to each area, different climate conditions, differing abundances of non-agricultural foodstuffs, flooding conditions, different soil productivities, cultural differences, differing levels of contact with other areas (agricultural practices are often spread by contact with other peoples), etc.
